'Uncle Drew' - 5 slam dunk highlights of the film

5. Kyrie Irving aka Uncle Drew

Obviously, the movie was created around the razzle dazzle and frenetic sauce that is Kyrie Irving who played Uncle Drew.

On the court, he’s a magician with the basketball and in the film, he adopted the look of someone’s 60-year-old grandpa, but with the skill of a street-ball legend.

In Uncle Drew’s first scene he was challenged to a game of one-on-one by one of the street ballers. After limping up to the court in his Nike jumpsuit with mismatch black and white Kyrie sneakers, he put his opponent on skates with a series of sham-gods and side-step-gather triples with the occasional catchphrase, “young blood.”

Uncle Drew was your cool, ankle breakin’, girl-snatchen’, player-uncle who will always take the time to teach you a lesson about the game of life via basketball.
