9. Annihilation
When I first saw Annihilation, I was a bit underwhelmed just because I didn’t really know what to think of that. Besides the screaming bear, that is — that thing still gives me nightmares. Over time, though, I’ve come to appreciate this movie more and more. I still don’t know how I feel about the last ten minutes of the whole thing (nor could I tell you what, exactly, happens in those scenes), but the overall scope and message of Annihilation is really powerful.
