9. Morrigan (Dragon Age Series)
Shapeshifter, Witch of the Wilds, and (according to one path) the player’s baby mama. Morrigan is the Machiavellian sorceress of the Dragon Age series, willing to do whatever it takes to see her goals come to fruition. She eschews sentimentality in favor of pragmatism, though players enjoy the challenge of working their way into her heart. Morrigan’s paths in the game rarely conclude in happy endings whether the Warden, the player character, romanced her or not. Well, it’s what happens before the end that counts, isn’t it?
