Train - 10 songs you need to listen to right now

3. "Drive By"

After the success of the album Save Me, San Francisco and the song "Hey, Soul Sister," Train had to step it up to match the success of both.

Luckily, in 2012, they did just that. The band released their sixth album, California 37, and debuted their first single from the album titled "Drive By" a few months prior. With "Drive By," Train had yet another hit on their hands.

The song peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and went on to be certified double platinum. A song just doesn't go double platinum by mistake, and "Drive By" earning that achievement was definitely a new mistake. Train has a knack for being able to tell a story and take you on a journey through their music, and this song gives you a clear beginning, middle and end as you listen. The music video for this song, just like "Save Me, San Francisco," highlights the city by the bay and uses the city's landscape to its advantage.

It was very hard deciding which order to put the top three songs in because each has the backing to be deemed number one. "Drive By" was a contender because there is so much personality in the song and the chorus really hits you when it arrives, which is always a fun element.

Unfortunately, after deliberation, "Drive By" ended up in the number three spot. However, the song certainly has the chance it park itself in the number one or two spots down the line.
