Train - 10 songs you need to listen to right now

9. "Mermaid"

Music fans, and even Train fans, might not be all too familiar with this track off of the California 37 album. However, once you listen to "Mermaid," the song's laid-back vibes and cool rhythm will make you say, "Where has this song been all my life?"

Train is so good at creating fun songs that make you just want to sing along too, and the number nine ranked song "Mermaid" is one of those. With opening lyrics that go, "Can't swim so I took a boat, to an island so remote, only Johnny Depp has ever been to it before," the song pulls you in from the beginning. Who doesn't want to sing along to a song that has a Pirates of the Caribbean reference? It's another great summer song, and even without watching the music video, "Mermaid" can easily help you envision being at a tropical beach location like Hawaii.

Speaking of Hawaii, the "Mermaid" video was filmed on location at the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl and featured star football players from past and present in the different shots, including Peyton Manning and Marcus Allen. In addition, Hawaii Five-0 actor Daniel Dae Kim also makes a cameo. This video is a great example of how music and sports can come together to make a unique viewing experience.

"Mermaid" is one of Train's most underrated songs, which is such a shame because it is one of the band's best tracks in their repertoire.
