Wicked (2004)
The musical has played 6,033 performances and 25 previews opening in 2003, and currently playing at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, this show tells the story of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. As the story develops, you that Elphaba and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, were roommates and friends once upon a time. Although they grow apart, they acknowledge they are better because of their friendship.
Avenue Q won Best Musical in 2004.
