While Jack Pearson may be the man Sterling K. Brown's Randall strives to be, in his own ways he has gone beyond his father by not only being an amazing father but by admitting his own demons and reaching out for help. While Jack his alcohol abuse, Randall does not hide how his anxiety disorder affects him and those around him. He also brought his birth father into his home when he was dying and then opened his home to foster children in need.
