1. Thank a veteran for his or her service on social media
Facebook, Twitter, and countless other social media sites give us the opportunity to connect with people we may never have been able to before. Take the opportunity to write a message of thanks on a friend or family member’s site if they are in the military. If you don’t know anyone in your immediate circle who serve in the military, find out if there are any pages dedicated to veterans in your area and either thank them for their service or donate some money to the page organizer to show your support.
