6. Offred tells the Mexican official the truth
In "A Woman's Place," episode six, Offred is forced to tell people about the life of handmaids. As infertility is rampant in this dystopic world fertile women are a valuable commodity. At first, she is careful about revealing anything that may get her killed, but she summons up the courage to tell the official and her assistant the truth that the handmaids are slaves, they have lost their identities, they are beaten. All in all, she begged for help. The official denied her as her country is dying.
