Rinko Kikuchi
In 2006, Rinko Kikuchi earned a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in Babel. The film showed four interlocking stories and Kikuchi's role was by far the most memorable part of the movie that featured A-list actors including Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, and Gael Garcia Bernal. Kikuchi went on to star in Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter and had a supporting role in 2013's Pacific Rim.
