Dev Patel
The 27-year-old English actor of Indian descent is the newest nominee to our list. He gained a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role in last year's Best Picture nominee Lion. Patel first gained success appearing in 2008's Best Picture winner Slumdog Millionaire and has appeared in blockbuster movies since.
