Haing S. Ngor
The only actor to win Best Supporting Actor on this list, Haing S. Ngor is of Chinese and Cambodian descent. He won the Oscar and the Golden Globe for his role in The Killing Fields, a 1984 film about an American journalist trapped in Cambodia during the bloodiest year during Pol Pot's cleansing campaign. Ngor died in 1996 at the age of 55.
