2. Armada by Ernest Cline
Written by the same man who wrote Ready Player One (and co-wrote the screenplay for the film), Armada bears a lot of resemblance to his debut novel. Both follow a teenage boy obsessed with video games who has to play these games for his ultimate goal, in this one, stopping an alien invasion. Pretty much a blend of Ready Play One and Ender's Game, Armada is just as fun as the former and an easy choice for fans to read next.
