When Goku is pressed and has exacerbated his body’s limitations—Ultra Instinct happens—that’s what this episode revealed among other things. This episode sees Goku at Kaio-Ken Super Saiyan Blue, using his trump card, the Spirit Bomb to defeat Jiren. But instead of the bomb taking Jiren out, it swallows Goku into a different dimension.
But as Universe 7 seems to have lost all hope, an all-mighty power shakes the fighting stage. When Whis prompts Beerus’s thoughts on the source of the energy surge, Beerus responds, “He’s [Goku] is coming.”
Just as predicted, Goku arises from the ashes, but this time with a white heat, emitting from his body.
This episode doesn’t just reveal this new form; it reveals it from a new point-of-view. The first view breaks the fourth wall, allowing fans to see what Goku sees in this new form. It also displays Goku’s supersonic speed and agility as he attacks Jiren. The series of blows and new movements in this episode, sets a new bar for fights like never seen before in the Dragon Ball series.
