Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t initially her raps that brought Cardi B into the public eye — it was her Instagram account. Gaining millions of followers due to the hilarious content she posted while still working as a stripper, she was eventually able to land Love & Hip Ho: New York due to her social media account. Cardi told Complex Magazine that: “I never thought I would be this popular. That was never part of my plans. It just really happened, thanks to social media.”
