3. The Dreamgirls inspiration
Although Dreamgirls has a complex, troubling plot, it is still one of the best films in contemporary cinema history. Not only is it the most expensive film featuring an all African-American cast, but it also was nominated for over 30 awards in 2007. In fact, they blew the world away during their performance at the 79th Academy Awards. The world was buzzing about this pain-struck, entertaining, but also inspirational drama film.
