There is evidence in the case that the boys were being sexually abused by the coach. But when they learn that the coach had taken over the basketball program after one parent had reported abuse, they figure out that while he knew something was happening, he wasn’t the abuser. They believe it is likely they can talk to Mason since there is evidence he is also a victim.
