12 food and drinks to have on hand for epic 'Gilmore Girls' binge watch

Pudding

A familial breakthrough happened in season one when Emily went out of her way to give the girls a common treat that they like, but was below her palate—pudding.  When Emily gave the girls pudding at a Friday night dinner, Rory saw that as a breakthrough to improving the dynamics between her mom and grandparents.  When Emily goes off the rails and planned a huge, formal party for Rory, without her permission and invited people that she doesn’t know well, nor likes from Chilton, the relationship had the potential to be bruised. However, Lorelai stepped in, the grandparents came to Rory’s real party and all was better.  That made us feel good.  Having some pudding will make it even better.
