4. Not getting the last word with Colum
In his speech to his brother, he was speaking of admiration and resentment in the same breath. It was possible that Dougal was thinking about killing him, especially since he was just slighted about the guardianship of Hamish (Dougal’s biological son), but always wiser, Colum cheated him out of the last word by downing poison before Dougal got to say what was on his mind. No closure for Dougal. And, a performance so good that it seems to have Golden Globe nominee written all over it.
