6. Losing his mind when his wife died
Fidelity doesn’t seem to be a strong suit of Dougal, but when Maura, his never-seen, but described as un-bonny wife dies, he is inconsolable and becomes violent and destructive. He believed she deserved someone better than him. We agree, but it was surprising that he came to the same conclusion.
