7. Get a fully-kid-friendly meals show on the air
While most Food Network/Cooking Channel shows have at least one kid-friendly episode, it would be great to do a show for people who only want to cook with and for kids and families. Ree Drummond is close in concept however an only quick, easy recipe and kid-friendly show seems to be absent. The kid challenge shows like Chopped Junior and Rachael Ray’s Kids Cook Off have taught us that kids can not only cook, but also that many of them have more refined palates than previously given credit. This kind of show can be an enjoyable activity for kids and parents to do together, and also try to incorporate new food and techniques into a sometimes picky audience. No one seems sweeter or more huggable than Aarti Sequeira, maybe Sunny Anderson—but I don’t know if she has kids, not that that should matter. Wouldn’t it be great to see someone like them working with a young cook to teach families what to make and how to make it engaging for the whole family?
