1. Net Neutrality
It was the shot heard 'round the internet - or, at the very least, on the Federal Communication Commission's net neutrality hearings comments page, which were forced to shut down after Oliver exhorted angry internet commenters everywhere to use their talents for good. This segment - and its outcome - is proof that public policy needn't be boring, and that the internet generation is not nearly so lazy as some have claimed, especially when properly motivated by allusions to Shrek and Superman.
