10. The Beatles Anthology
Even though Martin didn’t produce “Free As A Bird” and “Real Love,” he did help compile the three-volume Anthology releases that coincided with the documentary series in 1994 and 1995. These sets remain the only official collections of alternate studio recordings from the group and provide a fascinating window into how things worked at Abbey Road. The material from the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is particularly fascinating, as we get to see how they experimented.
