8. Guilt
Derek and his father are talking in his mind among a field when he begins to go over what happened the day his father died. He had gone home sick after class and his father had to pick him up. The audience learn Derek has harbored a lot of guilt and blame for what happened that day. He also learns how his father feels having seen him go through what he did when he was molested.
