Nolan talks to Pride in interrogation and tells him that after he escaped his captors, he had been injured and taken in by a young woman who turned out to be Bashir’s cousin. The two fell in love and were married. When he was well enough, he had traveled back to the United States to stop Bashir from attacking the country. He was making it look like he had been turned against his country and assures Pride he is loyal to the United States. While Chris is not sure about his loyalty, Brody thinks he is being truthful.
