Based on the so critically important sentiment that this game served as the springboard in making the Super Bowl the event it is today, this game needs to always find its way into the Top 10.
The moxy New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath provided by not only guaranteeing victory, but managing the game so well from the line of scrimmage, gave hope and legitimacy to the fledgling American Football League (AFL) that was only looking to get to the level of the big bad NFL.
