Alicia Vikander, The Danish Girl
Although Alicia Vikander had an incredible 2015, it would have been much cooler if her role in Ex Machina was the one that earned her a nomination. The role of Lili Elbe’s wife was considered lead by the Golden Globes and even the BAFTAs, but the Academy relegated her to supporting.
