5. Man of Steel
Man of Steel was an massive undertaking that profiled Superman but Kevin Costner brought a level of humanity and passion to the action packed movie. Costner played Jonathan Kent the Earth father of Clark Kent/Superman. It was through this character that audiences really saw the conflict that Clark Kent was going through, being from two different worlds. Costner brought such an emotional range to Jonathan Kent and truly made an impression in Zack Snyder's epic superhero piece.
Man of Steel flew into theaters on June 14, 2013 and the story will continue with Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice this year.
