Netflix’s Beasts of No Nation campaign fails
Netflix had made a big push with Cary Fukunaga’s Beasts of No Nation, but the film came up completely empty. Idris Elba was considered a lock for Best Supporting Actor, but he didn’t make the cut. It’s also worth noting that Amazon’s Chi-Raq, which was directed by Governors Award-winner Spike Lee, also came up with nothing. Not a good day for the streaming services.
