ROOM has a mixed day
ROOM might be the smallest movie in the field, in that it’s a small indie production with only two lead roles. While Brie Larson is expected to win Best Actress, Lenny Abrahamson’s nomination for Best Director was a complete shock. The film also managed to earn nominations for Best Picture and for Emma Donoghue's adaptation of her own novel. However, it wasn’t completely sunny. Where was Jacob Tremblay’s nomination? The 9-year-old deserved at least a Best Supporting Actor nod.
