With an incredibly catchy John Williams piece playing behind it, the asteroid chase scene in The Empire Strikes Back is one of the most thrilling sequences in the films. You can just imagine American Graffiti George Lucas being incredibly excited by a car chase in space with rocks flying around. Star Wars was always a mix of real-world themes and science fiction.
