Anomalisa, Charlie Kaufman & Duke Johnson
At first, I didn’t think Anomalisa was really that great, mind-blowing movie I was expecting. But then I thought about it... I thought about how heartbreaking and realistic this drama was, despite being made with stop-motion puppets. I thought about how I laughed at the little moments. I thought about how it was really a story of a man learning to appreciate the power of connecting with a special person. Anomalisa is a simple, short masterpiece that can change your perception of what animated movies should be like. (Daniel S Levine)
