The Knick, HBO/Cinemax
Since this list of Blu-rays shouldn’t be specific to only movies, I have to include HBO/Cinemax’s Blu-ray release of The Knick. While buying physical copies of shows - especially premium cable shows, which are readily available on On Demand, streaming and downloading services at all times - seems a bit archaic, The Knick’s Blu-ray looks amazing. The extras are certainly lacking, with no involvement from Steven Soderbergh or documentaries about real medical treatments of the early 1900s. But I just can’t vouch for this release's image quality enough.
