Whiplash, Sony
Damien Chazelle’s Whiplash got a fantastic Blu-ray release from Sony Pictures Classics early in the year. The film, which wound up winning three Oscars and was nominated for Best Picture, doesn’t have a stacked list of extras, but gets some kudos for including the original short film Whiplash is based on. While it’s a film that needs to be seen on a big screen, this is one excellent Blu-ray.
