Comic book movies have become a genre in their own right. Deadpool is about to change that industry by becoming a mainstream rated R comic-book focused film. Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano and Morena Baccarin. Reynolds is taking on this iconic and hilarious comic book character by bringing him to life in a realistic and true to the original comic book way. This has been a passion project for Reynolds since he appeared as the character in X-Men: Wolverine Origins, but the character wasn't portrayed in his signature over the top style.
The merc with a mouth arrives in theaters on February 12. Deadpool is likely to prove that February is no longer a dumping ground for movies.
