2. Shane Bitney Crone
Crone is a public figure well-known for being an activist for LGBTQ rights. He is the creator of a highly acclaimed true love story that took place between his partner, Tom Bridegroom and himself. The documentary film tells their story and how Crone was treated both during their love affair and after his partner had a deadly accident that led to his untimely death. The film Bridegroom touched many hearts.
This story had happened in 2011 and to this day in 2015, Crone travels around the world campaigning LGBTQ rights and promoting the story of Bridegroom. Crone has become a true voice for the LGBTQ community and what he does is a big act of charity every time he speaks to a group or brings love to someone feeling alone because of who they were born to be.
Just at the onset of 2015, Crone had posted images on his Instagram about how even LGBTQ rights globally should affect us because gay men are killed globally for being gay. Crone stated how he felt twisted when he found out that (ISIS) had released images showing a gay man being pushed from a roof in Mosul, Iraq. Read the story here.
