Mickey has been intermittently unfrozen for animated shorts, starting with 1983’s Mickey’s Christmas Carol. In 1990, Mickey was brought to life again for The Prince and the Pauper, which was shown before The Rescuers Down Under. This one is slickly animated and a really welcome use of Mickey.
