Melissa McCarthy never seems to stop working and she has another new movie hitting theaters soon. Universal has released the trailer for The Boss, which features poor Kristen Bell getting tortured by McCarthy’s overbearing boss.
Originally named after McCarthy’s character, the film stars the Spy actress as Michelle Darnell, the world’s richest woman. However, when she is arrested for insider training, her empire crumbles and she spends six months in prison.
Since everything is revealed in trailers lately, the trailer flashes forward six months to show her putting her powers to good use - by training girl scouts to sell cookies better than their rivals. Michelle also takes it upon herself to her assistant (Bell) start dating.
The Boss was written by McCarthy, her husband Ben Falcone and Steve Mallory. Falcone, who also directed McCarthy’s Tammy, directed the film.
The Boss opens on April 8.
