NBC announced the performers who will wake you up on Thanksgiving Day during the 89th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Mariah Carey is the main act, along with the usual mix of random celebrities and Broadway performers.
The Broadway shows that will get extra attention with performances on 34th Street in New York City are Fiddler On The Roof, Something Rotten, Finding Neverland, The King & I and On Your Feet!. The stars of NBC’s The Wiz Live! will also give a preview performances.
The performers during the parade itself include Carey; Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo; Dave Cameron & Sofia Carson; Cirque du Soleil; Daughtry; Andra Day; Andy Grammer; Sandra Lee; Shawn Mendes; MercyMe; MIPSO; Jake Owen; Jennifer Nettles; Panic! At The Disco; Plain White T’s; Rachel Platten; Questlove & the cast of Sesame Street; Chica and the gang from Sprout; Jordin Sparks’ Trey Songz; and Train.
School of Rock’s cast will also perform during the parade. NHL legends Mark and Marty Howe and Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell will make appearances.
Thanksgiving Day is Nov. 26 and the parade starts at 9 a.m. Today anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker will host the broadcast.
