The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter author Seth Grahame-Smith is in talks with the studio to helm the project. The studio already announced in October 2014 that the film will be released in March 2018.

Miller will make his debut as the Scarlet Speedster in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will reprise the role in 2017’s Justice League Part 1 before his solo movie.

The Flash still doesn’t have a writer. An early treatment was written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, but they won’t be further involved due to other commitments (including a Star Wars movie). Charles roven is producing The Flash.

Grahame-Smith is best known for his novels, including Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride And Prejudice And Zombies. On the film side, he has written Lego Batman and Dark Shadows. He has yet to direct a film.

While The Flash is one of DC’s most important characters, he has never appeared in a film. The CW is currently airing a series that takes place in the Arrow universe and stars Grant Gustin.

As for Miller, he recently starred in Trainwreck and Madame Bovary. He will also be in Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
