Buffalo Bills’ Percy Harvin thinking about retirement, skips London trip (Report)

Percy Harvin did not travel with the Buffalo Bills to London this week. That’s because the injury-plagued wide receiver is reportedly considering retiring.

Sources told The Buffalo News that the idea of retiring came to Harvin after his hip injury kept him from playing against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The News reported that Harvin, 27, has talked with the Bills about his future and the team is already “comfortable” with the idea that Harvin might leave the team.

“I'm not going to say anything more than what we said yesterday about it,” head coach Rex Ryan said on Thursday, reports ESPN. “I don't know where he is right now.”

Despite the Buffalo News’ report, ESPN’s source claims that Harvin isn’t considering retirement but is frustrated with his hip and knee injuries.

Harvin was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2009 and spent the 2013 season with the Seattle Seahawks. He played the 2014 season in Seattle and with the New York Jets and signed a three-year deal with the Bills in the offseason.

The Bills are 3-3 this season and face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. The game kicks off at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and will be streamed on Yahoo! instead of nationally televised.
