Tyler Sash, a safety who was a member of the New York Giants team that won Super Bowl XLVI, has died. He was only 27 years old.

Sash’s death was first confirmed by KCCI’s Scott Reister, who reported that Sash was found dead at his Oskaloosa, Iowa home at 8 a.m. Tuesday by a family member. The cause of death was not confirmed.
Officials told ESPN that an autopsy will be performed on Wednesday. Police do not suspect foul play.
Sash played in college at Iowa, leaving after his junior season when the Giants drafted him in the sixth round of the 2011 draft. Sash was with the Giants for two seasons and cut in August 2013.
He missed the first four games of the 2012 season when he was suspended for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy. He later said he took Adderall, which he said he didn’t know was banned, reports the New York Post.
Several current and former players took to Twitter to remember Sash.
We fought in many great battles together. Side by side. Don't wish that upon anyone or any family. Beyond words. Always a Hawk. Rest easy
