9. Time for Me to Fly
“Time for Me to Fly” is from REO’s seventh studio album You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can’t Tuna Fish. The album was the first to be co-produced by Cronin and Richrath and the first to place in Billboard’s Top 40. I think a lot of people have related to the lyrics of this song at some point in their life. The song itself offered an early glimpse at the soft rock sound that would soon dominate their music. Richrath plays some smooth fills and solid lead.
