After saving the show from falling through the cracks, Amazon has picked up Sneaky Pete for a full season. The show, which was first developed for CBS, was co-created by Bryan Cranston and stars Giovanni Ribisi.
Amazon saved the show in July and the pilot on Aug. 7. It must have drawn enough positive reaction from viewers because Deadline confirmed that it was picked up for a full season.
Sneaky Pete stars Risbi as a con man who assumes the identity of his prison cellmate. After he moves in with the man’s shocked family, he gets stuck working in the family bail bond business. The cast also includes Margo Martindale, Libe Barer, Marin Ireland, Shane McRae and Peter Gerety. It was created by Cranston and House’s David Shore. It was produced by Sony Pictures TV.
Amazon also posted the pilot for the Diego Luna-starring period drama Casanova on Aug. 7. While that show hasn’t been picked up, Amazon did order more scripts. The pilot was directed by Amelie’s Jean Pierre Jeunet and written by Stuart Zicherman.
