Entertainment Weekly’s new issue highlights the success of shows produced by Shonda Rhimes. Each of her three current ABC shows gets a cover and on her solo Grey’s Anatomy cover, Ellen Pompeo decided to forego clothing.

The cover features Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey on Grey’s, sitting on a bench with her legs crossed. The only thing she appears to be wearing are her lab coat and red shoes.
The other covers feature Scandal’s Kerry Washington and How To Get Away With Murder’s Viola Davis with their co-stars. However, Pompeo is solo on her cover, which makes you wonder if everyone else from Grey’s was too busy.
In the preview for the new issue, Entertainment Weekly revealed Pompeo’s thoughts on the often sexist reaction to Patrick Dempsey leaving the long-running ABC show.
“All of a sudden, Patrick leaves, and it’s like, ‘Oh my God, Meredith’s gonna get killed with Alzheimer’s! The show couldn’t possibly go on without the man!’” she said.
Martin Henderson is joining Grey’s in a new leading role.
Rhimes will again have a night all to herself on ABC this fall. Grey’s will be kicking off its 12th season on Sept. 24, while Scandal will begin its fifth. How To Get Away With Murder will be in its sophomore season.
