Top 10 Wes Craven movies

8. The Last House on the Left

Wes Craven's very first film, The Last House on the Left is a freaking insane way to get started in the industry. At the time it was so violent that it was banned in some countries and, even 40 years later, the movie is still quite difficult to watch. It follows two teenage girls who are kidnapped by a bunch of psychopaths, and it soon becomes clear that actual humans can be far more terrifying than Freddy or Ghostface. The movie has one of the most brutal rape scenes in film history, making it one that's not easy to recommend to general audiences, but for its impact on the genre alone, it simply can't be forgotten.
