9. Ashanti
In the early- to mid-2000s, Ashanti was huge. By the decade’s second half, her career started petering out, and she appeared to shift her efforts over toward making movies and being on stage. Last year, she tried to revive her pop career with a new album: BraveHeart got up to No. 10 on the Billboard 200, but none of her singles cracked the Hot 100.
