New Kids on the Block tried to revive their career, unsuccessfully, in 1994. After that failed attempt, a few members went solo, including Joey McIntyre. At the height of late ‘90s boyband popularity, he scored a hit with “Stay the Same,” which reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. An album of the same title didn’t do poorly, either. Yet, subsequent releases, such as 2001’s Meet Joe Mac, failed to make an impression.
