John Carpenter's 1978 hit, Halloween, has given birth to more sequels, prequels, and reboots than any other horror movie in history. That's not to mention all the knockoffs that don't measure up to the original. Halloween initiated the now stereotypical horror movie plot device of oblivious kids being high, drunk, and having sex.
