Brad “Scarface” Jordan, who rose to fame with the hip-hop group Geto Boys, bravely talked about his struggles with manic depression in his memoir Diary of a Madman: The Geto Boys, Life, Death, and the Roots of Southern Rap. He was diagnosed as a young teen and was put on some heavy medications. Although he still battles with the disease, his mental health has greatly improved. Jordan told Huff Post, “Some days are better than others. Even right now, yeah. But I know I want to live.”
